Doha-Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) saw a positive performance in Wednesday’s early trades, backed by a semi-collective rise in sectors.
QE index rose 0.37% or 43.81 points to reach 11,875.14 points by 10:00 am. Al Rayan Islamic index gained 0.52% to reach 4,676 points, whereas QE All Share index inched up 0.23% to 3,181 points.
The market saw trading of 531,000 shares through 914 transactions, with turnover of QAR 18.2 million.
The telecom sector topped gainers after rising 1.23%, followed by real estate (+0.76%), consumer goods and services (+0.73%), transportation (+0.48%), industrials (+0.29%), and banks and financial services (+0.13%).
The insurance sector was the only loser after retreating 0.61%.
Medicare Group was the best performer after growing 2.13%, while Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance Company fell 4.29% to lead losers.
